Skoda Kamiq Review
First launched in 2019, the Skoda Kamiq is now one of the greatest small SUVs on sale. Sized under the mid-sized Skoda Karoq, the Kamiq is Skoda’s smallest SUV model. Named the What Car? 2021 Best small SUV for practicality, it’s a huge success for Skoda. Although, as more small SUVs get added to the market, the Skoda Kamiq has a number of tough rivals, including the Volvo XC40 and Nissan Juke. So, what makes this stand out from other rivals in the leasing market? Read our Skoda Kamiq review below to find out.
Firstly, the Skoda Kamiq is Skoda’s compact SUV with five seats and plenty of space inside. Specifically, the boot space in the Skoda Kamiq is 400 litres which should be sufficient enough for a weekly shop. Although, other rivals such as the Nissan Juke and VW T-Cross have a slightly bigger boot. On the other hand, we particularly like the Skoda’s interior quality, plus it has plenty of tech on-board. The Skoda Kamiq stands out from rivals for its generous rear passenger space. As for the exterior, the Skoda Kamiq combines the height and looks of an SUV with a city car’s practicality.
This popular Skoda car also has lots of safety kit available, plus it was awarded a five-star safety rating during testing by Euro NCAP. This included an excellent score of 96% in the adult occupant protection assessment. Standard safety features on the Skoda Kamiq include front assist, lane assist, emergency call and Isofix-preparation for rear seats. Rear parking sensors come as standard from the Kamiq SE trim upwards. In terms of engine options, we’re still currently awaiting an electrified version of this Skoda model which might disappoint some people. If you would prefer to lease a hybrid car, then you might want to consider leasing a Ford Kuga Plug-in Hybrid instead.

How much does it cost?
The Skoda Kamiq is available in a choice of trim levels. The entry-level Skoda Kamiq S starts from £18,250.00 which is a similar price to the Nissan Juke. Standard features on the S version include black roof rails, Dab digital radio, electric windows and basic LED headlights. Choose to upgrade and you’ll get the Skoda Kamiq SE which is packed with more tech and driver assist features. Prices for this start from £19,725.00 and it comes with rear parking sensors, cruise control and Smartlink. For rear privacy glass and a bigger 9.2” touchscreen display than the SE trim, take a look at the Skoda Kamiq SE Drive. Then, up from this is the Kamiq SE L which has increased connectivity and a luxury feel to it. For the sportiest option, the Skoda Kamiq Monte Carlo is priced from £23,745.00. This has front sports seats and 18" black Vega alloy wheels for sportier looks.
Of course, the alternative option is to lease the Skoda Kamiq for a fixed monthly cost. At GB Vehicle Leasing, we have some cracking Skoda Kamiq lease deals, so contact us on 0161 667 5338 to speak to one of our friendly, experienced leasing consultants.
