Electric cars with the longest range
Over recent years, figures have revealed a surge in demand for Electric Vehicles (EVs) worldwide. However, it's clear that some drivers are concerned about the charge range by opting to an electric car. In order to combat this, car manufacturers are gradually introducing more long range electric cars.
That said, here’s some amazing electric cars with a charge range of over 300 miles on a single charge. We have some fantastic and unmissable electric car lease deals so don't miss out!
1.Tesla Model S
This luxury electric car has been built with performance and range at the forefront. If you opt for the Long Range version, you can expect up to 412 miles of estimated range on a single charge. Combining this with the ability to supercharge up to 200 miles in only 15 minutes, this is truly an extraordinary EV. We also like the Tesla active safety features available on the Model S at no extra cost, plus the 793 litre boot space is very generous. The Tesla Model S is the ultimate advanced electric car but it does come with a hefty price tag.
2.Ford Mustang Mach-E
The all-new, all-electric, Ford Mustang Mach-E is Ford’s first electric vehicle in its dedicated EV platform. In terms of range, this electric SUV can achieve up to 379 miles on one charge. Furthermore, the Mustang Mach-E is capable of recharging 73 miles of range in only 10 minutes using DC high power charging. This is very impressive and ideal for drivers who need to charge the car mid journey. As for performance, the Mustang Mach-E can achieve 0-62mph in as little as 6.1 seconds. If you’d prefer a sportier version, then the Mustang Mach-E AWD can achieve 0-62mph in 5.1 seconds! Although this doesn’t offer as much acceleration as the Tesla Model 3, a greater range still makes it a worthy rival.
3.Tesla Model 3
The Tesla Model 3 has quickly become one of the best-selling electric cars in the UK. As the most affordable Tesla model, this doesn’t have the longest range, but it remains very impressive. If you opt for the Long Range version, it can achieve up to 360 miles of range (WLTP) on a single charge. According to Zap-Map, a Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus can reach 0-80% charge in just 20 minutes using a rapid 120kW charger. Furthermore, it's clear that safety has been made paramount with the Model 3, resulting in a 5 star safety rating by Euro NCAP. Plus this model is also around half the price of its sibling the Tesla Model S.
4.Tesla Model X
The Tesla Model X is a fantastic EV available in several seating options: 5,6 or even 7 seats. Like the Model 3, the Model X can achieve up to 360 miles (estimated) of range (WLTP) on a single charge if you choose the Long Range version. This Tesla model is pricey to buy, although it's very cheap to run. Also, it achieved an excellent 5 star safety rating from Euro NCAP during 2019 testing. As for performance, the Model X Plaid has a top speed of 163mph and can reach 0-60pmh in just 2.5 seconds! (with rollout subtracted).
If you’re looking for a cheaper electric car with a long range, then the all-electric VW ID.3 might appeal to you. Priced from around £32,000 for the Life trim, this EV is made for everyday life. As for the longest range, the ID.3 Pro S can achieve up to 336 miles of range (combined WLTP). In total the ID.3 is available in as eight different models, each with its own key features so you can find the right car for you. Other key features to point out include the 385-litre boot space, a standard fit 10-inch infotainment display screen and LED headlights as standard.
