Volkswagen Tiguan Review
Over the years, Volkswagen has become highly respected worldwide for producing high quality vehicles. For those looking for a practical SUV, the VW Tiguan remains a popular lease option. Since being introduced in 2007, the Volkswagen Tiguan has been upgraded and refined to make it more powerful and efficient. However, in the crowded SUV market, the VW Tiguan faces strong competition from the likes of the Skoda Karoq and Peugeot 3008. So, why choose the Volkswagen Tiguan? Well, read on to find out.
Why choose the Volkswagen Tiguan?
The Volkswagen Tiguan is a beautifully designed SUV, often used as a family car. This VW model has a strong build quality with high quality materials used throughout. Inside, it has plenty of useful storage compartments, as well as a boot capacity of up to 615 litres. This is bigger than most rivals such as the Nissan Qashqai and Peugeot 3008. Also, to top this, the VW Tiguan has excellent legroom and head room which is great for tall passengers.
This popular Volkswagen model also has lots of safety kit on board, plus it was awarded a five-star safety rating during testing by Euro NCAP. This included an excellent score of 96% in the adult occupant protection assessment. As with all VW models, the VW Tiguan has a three-year/60,000-mile warranty (whichever is soonest) for peace of mind. Also, the Tiguan offers reasonable running costs, although some rivals have greater economy.

Volkswagen Tiguan Price
Pricing for the standard VW Tiguan starts from just over £25,000 which is slightly cheaper than the entry-level Peugeot 3008. This Tiguan comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth connection, air-conditioning and automatic lights, just to mention a few. For the ultimate Tiguan experience, the Tiguan R version is priced from around £45,000. This offers dynamic handling and class-leading performance. Key features as standard on the VW Tiguan R include front sports seats, Unique ‘R’ badging, Dynamic Light Assist and Dynamic Chassis Control. Of course, the alternative option is to lease the Volkswagen Tiguan for a fixed monthly cost. Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace
Would you prefer a seven-seater instead? With the option for 7 seats, the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace is more spacious than the standard Volkswagen Tiguan. Essentially a longer version of the Tiguan, the Allspace gives you room for all the family on your adventures. This doesn’t quite offer as much space as the Skoda Kodiaq, however it’s still a great option as a large family car.
Furthermore, the high-quality interior of the Tiguan Allspace offers a comfortable drive, with plenty of standard equipment to enhance your journey. All models come with adaptive cruise control, climate control and front and rear parking sensors as standard, just to mention a few. If you love the standard VW Tiguan but require more space, then the Allspace could be your ideal lease car.

Our Verdict
The Volkswagen Tiguan has pretty much everything you can want from an SUV and deserves a rating of 4.5/5 stars from GB Vehicle Leasing. As a practical SUV with generous rear passenger space and excellent safety features, it's easy to see why this VW car is so popular. However, if you're looking for an SUV slightly cheaper, then a Nissan Qashqai lease is a fantastic alternative. The boot space isn't as big as the Volkswagen Tiguan, but it still feels spacious and comes generously equipped as standard. Also, the Qashqai offers better fuel efficiency than the VW Tiguan.
