The Incredible Jaguar F-Type
First launched in 2013, the Jaguar F-Type was created as the successor to the E-Type. Unlike other rivals, this luxury sports car is a strict two-seater with petrol engine options. That said, the cabin space is roomy enough for two people and its head-turning looks make this a fun car to drive. Let’s take a look at what makes this Jaguar strong competition for other sports cars.
The Jaguar F-Type was first introduced in the form of a convertible, followed by a coupe version around a year later. For this review, we’ve decided to take a look at the Jaguar F-Type Coupe and all it has to offer.
Design & Features
We think the Jaguar F-Type Coupe has been beautifully designed as it oozes class and luxury. With sleek lines, a dominant front grille and premium LED running lights, this stunner definitely stands out. Meanwhile, the interior of this Jaguar offers everything you’d expect and more. The refined infotainment system is easy to use and top quality. Also, sports seats with soft leather allow for a comfortable driving experience. Although, tall passengers may find the Jaguar F-Type Coupe too compact as the headroom and legroom isn’t the greatest. As for boot space, the Jaguar F-Type Coupe has a 407-litre boot, which is bigger than the convertible version.

Performance & Running Costs
The Jaguar F-Type Coupe has clearly been designed for high-performance. In fact, this Jaguar sports car has a top speed of 155mph and can achieve 0-60mph in just 5.4 seconds! For the ultimate sports car experience, the F-Type R Coupe can accelerate even faster and has an increased top speed of 186mph. With a maximum 575 PS, this car is truly rapid, although the Porsche 911 does still have the edge. As for the running costs, you’re probably not surprised that this isn’t the most fuel-efficient cars. Even though the F-Type Coupe features a stop-start system as standard, high-performance is key with this one. Similarly, the Jaguar F-Type is expensive to tax, including high Benefit in Kind tax for company cars. Therefore, if you're looking for a company car, then this probably wouldn't be your first choice.
How much does it cost?
Pricing for the incredible Jaguar F-Type Coupe starts from £54,965 (OTR), which is considerably cheaper than the entry-level Porsche 911 Carrera. This is a RWD model with a maximum 300 PS power. Key features of this F-Type Coupe include a 10” touchscreen, a rear camera, a Leather steering wheel and Interactive Driver Display. We feel this car is well-equipped and reasonably priced for a luxury car of this kind. Although, if you would prefer the Jaguar F-Type R Coupe, you can expect prices from £98,110 (OTR). This comes with R body styling and Windsor leather performance seats, as well as a maximum 575 PS for added power. Of course, alternatively you could lease this Jaguar car for a fixed monthly cost. Car leasing is straightforward and cost-effective, plus GB Vehicle Leasing have some cracking lease deals available.

Our Verdict
There’s no denying that the Jaguar F-Type Coupe is highly desirable and has a lot going for it. The design is incredible, as well as the excellent performance. However, all this does come at quite a hefty price, especially for the higher specs. All that considered, if you’re specifically looking for a rapid sports car with plenty of luxurious features, then definitely consider this Jaguar car. Although, don’t be expecting practicality, decent headroom or low running costs as it simply hasn’t been designed for this. Built for luxury and performance, this is distinctively a Jaguar model and will offer a striking presence on any road.
