In terms of range, the 50 kWh can achieve up to 143 miles (WLTP) between charges, whereas the 75 kWh can achieve up to 205 miles. Of course, several factors such as weather climate and speed can impact your range. Furthermore, this electric van can reach 15-80% of the vehicle charge in 30 minutes (50kWh battery) or 45 minutes (75kWh battery) from a 100kW rapid charging station. With thousands of public charging stations across the UK, drivers can visit www.zap-map.com to locate available charging stations nearby. Alternatively, home charging wall boxes are available to buy, allowing optimum charging.
Vauxhall Vivaro-e Models & Features
The new Vauxhall Vivaro-e has many fantastic features, so we're going to highlight some of our favourite ones. Firstly, this electric van has an array of excellent technology on board, including Vauxhall Connect which helps to ensure you stay connected and safe on your journey. Also, the Vivaro-e comes with 8 years battery warranty for peace of mind. In terms of the model range, there’s three options for this van; Panel Van Dynamic, Panel Van Elite and Doublecab Elite. Prices start from around £29,000 exc. VAT and including the Government Plug-In Grant. This means the Vivaro-e is around £4,000 more than one of its main rivals, the Peugeot e-Expert.
Vauxhall Vivaro-e Payload & Towing
Firstly, the Vivaro-e has a class-leading payload of up to 1226kg, which for most people would be plenty of space. In addition, it’s the first electric vehicle in its sector to tow trailers. In fact, the Vivaro-e has a towing ability of up to 1,000kg. Road ready, this van has an enhanced protective cabin design and ensures your goods are protected during transportation on all journeys.
Why choose the Vauxhall Vivaro-e?
As an excellent electric commercial vehicle, this benefits from £0 road tax and £0 congestion charges (if applicable). This is further savings on top of the government grant for electric vans. Furthermore, maintenance costs are less due to electric vans having fewer moving parts than the petrol or diesel equivalent. Of course, one of the main benefits of electric vehicles is it’s better for the environment. This will especially appeal to environmentally conscious drivers. Although, it’s important to consider your daily mileage and if an electric van would suit your requirements.
If you’re looking for a mid-sized electric van, then this one nails it! It’s also reasonably well priced for an electric van of this size, plus the additional cost savings by going electric.
