Top 5 cars enquired on during August 2021
Looking for the very best car lease deals? You've come to the right place!
At GB Vehicle Leasing, we have unbeatable offers available on a wide range of cars. That said, here’s a list of the top cars enquired on during last month….
1. Volvo XC40
Over the past few years, small SUVs have become highly desirable. These cars combine the higher driving position of an SUV with practicality and spacious interior of other family cars. One of the most popular small SUVs which has been excelling in this segment is the awarding winning Volvo XC40.
As expected with a Volvo car, the XC40 comes with exceptional safety and driver assist features which particularly makes it an appealing family car. These features include Volvo Cars’ Pilot Assist system, Cross Traffic alert with brake support and the 360-degree camera, just to mention a few. During 2018 testing, this SUV also achieved a Euro NCAP Safety Rating of 5 stars, which included an impressive score of 97 per cent in its adult occupancy NCAP assessment. At GB Vehicle Leasing, we think safety makes this one of the stand-out contenders in the lease market.
The XC40 is available in a range of efficient engine options, now including the all-electric Volvo XC40 Recharge. In terms of the interior, we think the Volvo XC40 is beautifully designed, featuring ingenious storage space. The 430 litres boot space is slightly smaller than rival SUVs, however, it’s still a spacious 5-seater.
2. Kia Sportage
The Kia Sportage remains desirable due to being a premium-looking, family SUV with an affordable price tag. As with all our Kia lease models, the Sportage comes with Kia’s seven-year/100,000-mile warranty as standard. As a brand, Kia has a strong focus on producing reliable, practical vehicles, and the Kia Sportage is a clear example of this.
In terms of interior space, the Sportage is generally on par with most rivals, although the boot size is bigger than the popular Nissan Qashqai. We think a Kia Sportage lease is especially desirable due to its appealing design and decent level of standard equipment. If you’re looking for a sportier option to lease, then a Gt-Line or GT-Line S version would appeal to you.
Unlike the Volvo XC40, this popular Kia model is still awaiting a fully electric version. However, Kia has introduced new mild-hybrid powertrain for the Sportage which reduces running costs.
3. Tesla Model 3
At GB Vehicle Leasing, we have seen a massive increase in the number of EV leasing enquiries and orders over the past 12 months. The increase in electric car enquiries shows more people are beginning to see the benefits to themselves and to the wider environment of opting for an electric vehicle. In particular, last month we received a high volume of Tesla Model 3 enquiries.
The Tesla Model 3 has quickly become one of the best-selling electric cars in the UK. If you opt for the Long Range version, it can achieve up to 360 miles of range (WLTP) on a single charge. As for performance, this stunning Tesla can accelerate from 0-60 mph in as little as 3.1 seconds and has a top speed of 162mph.
In terms of the design, the prestigious interior features a 15-inch touchscreen which can be used to access all driver controls. As with all Tesla models, the Model 3 has a luxurious feel to it with cutting edge technology available. A Tesla Model 3 lease provides the ultimate fully electric driving experience at a sensible cost.
4. Audi Q4 E-tron
Another electric car getting mass interest is the new Audi Q4 e-tron - Audi’s first compact, fully electric SUV. This is available as either the Q4 e-tron or the Q4 Sportback e-tron. This electric Audi is powerful, as well as easy and quick to charge. For those opting for the 40 e-tron, this has a large battery and provides a range of up to 316 miles (WLTP).
The new Audi Q4 e-tron has a sophisticated design, featuring the latest Audi technology. As for the boot space, the Q4 e-tron has a capacity up to 520 litres, while the Q4 Sportback e-tron has up to 535 litres. It seems potential customers are curious about this electric car and want to know more about this new Audi model. Although it’s still too early to say, we expect this Audi car to excel in the EV market, in particular the Audi Q4 e-tron version.
5. Volkswagen Polo
The Volkswagen Polo is highly rated in the supermini class for its low running costs and high-quality interior. The VW Polo was first launched in 1975 and has since been refined to make it the modern supermini it is today. Despite the global pandemic, over 169,000 new VW Polo cars were sold in Europe during 2020 (carsalesbase.com figures).
The Volkswagen Polo offers a competitive boot size and interior space for its class. A VW Polo lease is ideal for drivers looking for a small, fun car combined with typical VW quality. That said, some people would say that the VW Polo gets overlooked due to its popular sibling, the Volkswagen Golf. However, the latest Polo offers a spacious interior and better drive than previous generations. Combine this with being cheaper than the VW Golf and we feel the Polo is a great lease option.
