From superb sports cars to performance SUVs, Jaguar has a spectacular range of prestige cars. Since the first Jaguar car was produced in 1935, this luxury car brand has sold an impressive number of high quality, reliable cars. We’ve decided to review three of the amazing cars in the range; Jaguar F-Pace, E-Pace and I-Pace based on design, key features, price and the overall driving experience.
With prices starting from £40,860, this luxury performance SUV provides an excellent driving experience with extreme comfort. A wide range of technically advanced features help to keep you safe and entertained throughout your journey. The Jaguar F-Pace has spacious boot capacity of 650 litres and offers you advanced technology, such as optional Head-up Display and Activity Key. During 2017 testing, the superb F-Pace achieved a five-star Euro NCAP rating, which included an excellent score of 93 per cent in its adult occupancy NCAP assessment. Safety and driver assist features such as Lane Keep Assist, Front and Rear Parking Aid and 3D Surround Camera, makes it one of the stand-out contenders in this corner of the SUV market.
The F-Pace is available in petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid engine options. The plug-in hybrid option offers up to 33 miles in EV mode and it can reach 0-80% charge using a 50kW DC rapid charger in as little as 30 minutes. As well, opting for a plug-in hybrid offers improved fuel economy and reduced CO2 emissions. There’s also the mild hybrid version of the F-Pace.
If you would prefer a compact SUV then the Jaguar E-Pace might appeal to you. This luxury, agile SUV with the lines of a coupe offers a striking road presence. The E-Pace is available from £32,575 making it much cheaper than the F-Pace, although its boot capacity of up to 577 litres is also smaller. Like the F-Pace, the E-Pace is available in petrol, diesel, mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid engine options.
In terms of the interior, we think the E-Pace is beautifully designed and ingenious storage space is an excellent addition. Also, excellent in-car technology, including the Touch Pro infotainment system, makes this an enjoyable car to drive. In particular, stay connected and enjoy a pleasant journey as this model is fully compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. As for safety, this SUV has a wide range of driver assistance and park assist features, some of which come as standard and some as optional. During 2017 testing, the E-Pace also achieved a five-star Euro NCAP rating.
The Jaguar I-Pace is one of our favourite electric cars for sale today. Since its launch in 2018, this all-electric performance SUV has been excelling in its segment, receiving various awards worldwide. Named 2019 World Car of the Year, the I-Pace is proving very popular so far, in fact, carsalesbase.com figures reveal in 2019 12,232 cars of this model were sold in Europe. Pricing for the Jaguar I-Pace starts from around £65,000. For the ultimate I-PACE experience, the I-Pace HSE is available from around £74,000.
In terms of the interior space, the I-pace provides five full seats, innovative storage, a substantial rear loadspace of up to 656 litres. As for charging the I-Pace, cost varies depending on whereabouts you are charging it. According to Zap Map, charging the Jaguar I-Pace’s 90 kWh battery to 80% using a public rapid charge point costs £21.60 (estimated cost, may vary). Also, the I-Pace can reach 0-80% charge using public rapid charging (100kW charger) in just 45 minutes. One full charge of the I-Pace provides an impressive range up to 292 miles on the WLTP cycle.
