Audi Q5
Priced from £43,625, the Audi Q5 is a stylish 5-door SUV which has been awarded a 5 star safety rating (Euro NCAP). As one of the main stand-out contenders in the family SUV market, the Q5 offers an excellent driving experience. In particular, we love the spacious and high quality interior of this car. Specifically, this car has a boot size of up to 550 litres which is the same as the BMW X3. Also, its intuitive infotainment system is second to none. This car has Audi Smartphone Interface, MMI Navigation, Cruise Control, Audi Connect Infotainment Services which many drivers find useful to have.
In terms of performance, the Audi Q5 is slightly more agile than the BMW X3. This SUV has a top speed of 147mph and can achieve 0-62mph in just 6.4 seconds. Furthermore, the Audi Q5 is available in petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid versions. In particular, the Audi Q5 55 TFSI e quattro offers up to 26 miles when solely running of electric power. Overall, the Q5 is the ultimate driver’s car which has a classy feel, as well as excellent connectivity technologies available.
BMW X3
With prices starting from £42,115, this is slightly cheaper than the base model of the Audi Q5. That said though, how does the car itself compare to the Q5? Well, the BMW X3 is a fantastic 5-door SUV, which has also been awarded a 5 star safety rating (Euro NCAP), including an impressive score of 93 per cent in its adult occupancy NCAP assessment. Like the Q5, the BMW X3 is available in petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid versions. As expected with a BMW, this car provides a prestige interior with high quality build materials. In particular, we think BMW ConnectedDrive features and the BMW Connected app will make this car appealing to many drivers. Furthermore, this SUV offers supreme comfort both in the front and rear space, as well as 550-litres of boot space. However, if you require a bigger boot then you might prefer the Land Rover Range Rover, Jaguar F-Pace or BMW X5 as an alternative SUV.
