Why choose the Jaguar I-Pace?
The Jaguar I-Pace is one of our favourite electric cars for sale today. Since its launch in 2018, this all-electric performance SUV has been excelling in its segment, receiving various awards worldwide. Named 2019 World Car of the Year, the I-Pace is proving very popular so far, in fact, carsalesbase.com figures reveal last year 13,444 cars of this model were sold in Europe. As the EV market continues to expand, the I-Pace has a number of tough rivals, including the Kia e-Niro, Audi E-tron, as well as the prestigious Mercedes EQC. So, what makes this stand out from other rivals in the leasing market?
If you've been waiting for luxury EVs to get serious, your time may have come here. Firstly, the extremely comfortable interior of the Jaguar I-Pace along with the amazing in-car technologies helps to ensure you have a fantastic driving experience. With a smartphone pack available, you can ensure you stay connected on your journey using Android AutoTM and Apple CarPlay®. Other key in-car technologies include head-up display, vehicle tracking technology, as well as all-new navigation providing real-time traffic update and live charging point and parking information. Also, there’s a wide range of options and accessories available if you’re looking to personalise your I-Pace. In terms of the interior space, the I-pace provides five full seats, innovative storage, a substantial rear loadspace of up to 656 litres.
How much does it cost?
Pricing for the Jaguar I-Pace starts from around £65,000. For the ultimate I-PACE experience, the I-Pace HSE is available from around £74,000. This might seem a hefty price tag, however there's also the alternative option to lease the I-Pace for a fixed monthly cost. EV Charging
In the UK, there are currently over 20,000 EV public charging points available and this number continues to rise as more are being installed. Apps such as Zap Map can be downloaded and used to find EV charging stations near you. In terms of charging the I-Pace, cost varies depending on whereabouts you are charging it. According to Zap Map, charging the Jaguar I-Pace’s 90 kWh battery to 80% using a public rapid charge point costs £21.60 (estimated cost, may vary). Also, the I-Pace can reach 0-80% charge using public rapid charging (100kW charger) in just 45 minutes. For optimum charging at home, installation of an AC wallbox is advised. If you qualify, a Government OLEV EVHS grant of up to £350 towards the cost of your wallbox installation is available. If you do opt to have a dedicated charging point installed, make sure it is carried out by a qualified installer. Of course, it's important to remember the speed of charging can vary depending on the car’s battery size as well as the charging point’s speed. One full charge of the Jaguar I-Pace provides an impressive range up to 292 miles on the WLTP cycle.
The Jaguar I-Pace has everything you can want from an electric car and deserves a rating of 4.6/5 stars from GB Vehicle Leasing. It has the luxurious feel of a Jaguar car, an excellent charging range and amazing in-car technologies. The only drawback we can really think of with the Jaguar I-Pace is the hefty price tag. If this lease car is a bit out of your price range, you might want to opt for the Kia e-Niro instead. Starting from £34,495 (After Plug in Car Grant), the e-Niro provides up to 282 miles on a single charge, which is only slightly less than the I-Pace.
