Tesla Model 3 Review
Renowned for creating highly desirable vehicles with cutting edge technology, Tesla remains one of the leading manufacturers producing electric cars. In particular, the Tesla Model 3 has become highly recognised as the brand’s initial mass-market electric car. According to The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, last year 34,783 Tesla Model 3 cars were sold in the UK. This resulted in it being the best-selling electric car for 2021. So, what makes this Tesla model so desirable?
Firstly, the Tesla Model 3 provides the ultimate fully electric driving experience at a sensible cost. When this Tesla was first released in 2016, it was an immediate success as almost 500,000 reservations were made within the first few months. As Tesla’s cheapest model to date, let’s take a look at the performance and overall driving experience of the incredible Tesla Model 3.

Tesla Model 3 Range & Performance
As expected, both the optimum range and performance of the Tesla Model 3 depends on the version you choose. At present, there are three versions available - Model 3 RWD, Long Range and Performance. As the entry-level option, the Tesla Model 3 RWD version can achieve 0-60mph in a claimed 5.8 seconds, making it faster than the equivalent Kia EV6. For optimum performance, the Model 3 Performance version can accelerate much quicker, achieving 0-60mph in just 3.3sec! This has four-wheel drive and features two electric motors making it super-fast.
In terms of range, the Tesla Model 3 Long Range offers the best figures with an impressive 360-mile range. This is noticeably greater than the Polestar 2’s maximum range. As for charging the Tesla Model 3, this is easy and quick to do with more than 30,000 Superchargers currently available worldwide. In fact, it’s claimed the Tesla Model 3 can recharge up to 172 miles in just 15 minutes using a Supercharger.
Tesla Model 3 Design & Features
As with all Tesla car models, the Tesla Model 3 has a luxury feel to it thanks to high quality materials used throughout. In terms of the design, the prestigious interior features a 15-inch touchscreen which can be used to access all driver controls. Also, front seat area in this electric saloon feels spacious thanks to the fixed all-glass roof, and there’s plenty of leg room for tall individuals. Similarly, the Model 3’s rear passenger space is decent, although it offers less head room than in the Polestar 2. As for luggage space, the 425-litre capacity includes a ‘frunk’ located under the car’s bonnet.
Tesla Model 3 Price
The Tesla Model 3 RWD is priced from £42,990, which is slightly more than the entry-level Polestar 2. Key features for this spec include heated front and rear seats, keyless entry and an excellent navigation system. Up from this is the Tesla Model 3 Long Range with pricing from £49,990. This comes well equipped and is the most desirable trim level available. Alternatively, you could select the Tesla Model 3 Performance model, priced from £59,990. This version has a performance upgrade which includes an increased top speed and bigger performance wheels. Also, for an addition cost, you could include Tesla’s enhanced autopilot and full self-driving capability. We feel the Tesla Model 3 price is very reasonable for a quality electric car like this. Also, securing a Tesla Model 3 lease deal through GB Vehicle Leasing is an incredibly cost-effective way to have your ideal electric car at an affordable rate.
