MG ZS EV Review
MG Motor is an iconic Automotive Company known for producing excellent cars which represent value for money. The history of MG cars dates back to the 1920’s, with the earliest model being the 1924 MG 14/28. Since then, MG has developed a small, yet successful range of MG cars and the brand continues to grow. This car range includes the MG ZS EV as a family-friendly electric SUV. Would you consider an MG ZS ev lease? Let’s delve deeper to find out more about this fantastic MG electric car.
Range & Performance
When choosing an electric car, of course you want to know its potential driving range. Well, regardless of the spec you choose, the MG ZS EV has a range of up to 163 miles (WLTP Combined Cycle). This has a greater range than the Mazda MX-30, although it isn’t quite on par with the Peugeot e-2008. As for charging time, the MG ZS EV can reach 80% charge in an estimated 40 minutes using a 50kW CCS. Meanwhile, standard charging for this electric car (0-100%) takes 6.5 hours using a 7.2 kW charger which is good for overnight charging at home. This is almost 3 hours quicker than the Electric Kona.
Performance wise, it’s reported this MG electric car can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 8.2 seconds and has a top speed of 87 mph. Undeniably, this isn’t the quickest electric SUV, although it's still reasonable. Also, it offers a comfortable drive whilst emitting 0 g/km CO2 emissions.

Design & Features
The MG ZS EV is a compact SUV powered by a 44.5kWh battery and loaded with plenty of tech. This MG car is easy to drive and cheap to run, making it a great option for families. Like the standard ZS, it has 448 litres of bootspace which is decent for its size. However, this MG car is slightly let down by the basic interior quality. That said, with a generous amount of standard equipment, don’t get put off this car. For a small SUV, this is a roomy car and has seat adjustment for a comfortable ride. This may not be an electric car which turns heads, but it’s still got so much going for it, especially considering the price.
As for safety, the MG ZS EV has an excellent range of advanced safety features. During 2019 testing, this electric car received a 5-star Euro NCAP rating, which included an impressive score of 90 per cent in its adult occupancy NCAP assessment. Some of the key safety features on this MG car include Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Jam Assist, ABS and Hill Launch Assist. With the Exclusive trim level, you also get Blind Spot Detection and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Pricing starts from £26,095 (after PICG) for the entry-level Excite trim. Key features of this MG electric car include Auto Headlights, Rear Parking Sensors, a Star-rider grille, DAB Audio and Satellite Navigation, just to mention a few.
