The Future of Motoring is Electrifying
Recently, the likelihood of a predominantly electric future within the automotive industry has risen. Significantly more electric cars are being produced and some manufacturers have even announced plans to electrify all of their cars in the near future.
BP’s New Venture
As the number of electric vehicles (EVs) on UK roads continues to rise, BP has announced plans to buy Chargemaster (The UK’s largest EV charger supplier). This means BP, who currently have 1,200 UK filling stations, are expected to have ultra-fast EV chargers on their forecourts fairly soon. It’s great news for any current or prospective EV drivers.

UK Plug-in Grants
If you are not already convinced that electric cars are a good idea, the government is offering UK plug-in grants for new electric and plug-in hybrid cars. The aim is to encourage more people to drive low emission vehicles. Hopefully this should help to reduce pollution levels by lowering harmful emissions. However, the grant is only available on a selection of cars. Although if you are interested in buying an electric car, this is definitely something worth looking into!
