Fiat’s 500 Range Welcomes New ‘Hey Google’ Editions
Italian firm, Fiat, has revealed a new and exciting partnership with tech giant Google. Fiat are going to be introducing Google’s ‘Hey Google’ voice command system into a new range of special edition models for its 500 range. This is going to apply to the 500 city car, 500X crossover and 500L MPV, badged as ‘Hey Google’ models.
The ‘Hey Google’ assistant will enable car owners to interact with their car whilst in the car, as well as from home. Owners are able to ask questions about their vehicle such as where their car is parked. Simply start your command by saying “Hey Google, ask my Fiat ...” for it to work. Accessing this will be easy by using the user’s smartphone or a Google Nest Hub. Customers of the new 500 Hey Google will also receive a welcome kit which will include a Google Nest Hub to operate the voice command system, as well as other great features.
Three special edition ‘Hey Google’ models are going to be introduced. The cars will feature a ‘Hey Google’ badge on the front wheel arch and stickers on the B-pillar inspired by Google's logo. Also, inside the seats will have Google's logo featured on them. Multiple car paint colours available, from Gelato White to Italia Blue.
The Fiat 500 Hey Google will be available as a hatchback (priced from £16,005) or a convertible (priced from £18,655). This will only have one engine option; 1.0-litre three cylinder mild hybrid petrol. Whereas customers of the 500X Hey Google will have two petrol engine options, with prices starting from £20,764. Similarly priced from £20,345, the Fiat 500L Hey Google will only have one engine option. The Hey Google editions are only going to be available on the ICE (internal combustion engine) 500 models.
Furthermore, the Fiat 500 Hey Google features advanced technology to ensure you enjoy a safe journey. In particular, the adaptive cruise control is excellent, as well as the speed limiter which enables you to set a maximal speed limit. Also, the hill holder function enables you to pull away smoothly from inclines, preventing your car from rolling back.
So, what do you think of these new limited edition models? We cannot wait for them to start hitting the roads! There's also the all-new electric Fiat 500 now available with prices starting from £19,995 (including the Plug-in Car Grant). We expect the all-electric Fiat 500 to be strong competition for the MINI Electric and Peugeot e-208.
