The Jaguar I-Pace is one of our favourite electric cars for sale today. Since its launch in 2018, this all-electric performance SUV has been excelling in its segment, receiving various awards worldwide. According to Zap Map, charging the Jaguar I-Pace’s 90 kWh battery to 80% using a public rapid charge point costs £21.60 (estimated cost, may vary). Also, the I-Pace can reach 0-80% charge using public rapid charging (100kW charger) in just 45 minutes. One full charge of the I-Pace provides an impressive range up to 292 miles on the WLTP cycle.
2. Porsche Taycan
With prices starting from £83,580 incl. VAT, this full-electric sports car was Porsche’s biggest selling model in the UK in November. We think this is mainly due to the performance and range capacity available. It’s reported that the Taycan Turbo S can achieve 0-62mph in as little as 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 162mph! Furthermore, the electric performance of the Taycan is superb as it can achieve up to 62 mile (WLTP) of range in only five minutes (under optimum conditions). A charging range of 241-256 miles (model range) is excellent.
In particular, we like the design of the Porsche Taycan, as it offers the high quality and look of a traditional Porsche whilst appealing to the increasing demand for electric cars. The Taycan takes the form of a luxurious four-door saloon but it also incorporates coupe design cues. In terms of features, we especially like the assistance systems on this car. This includes Active Lane Keep & Traffic Jam Assist, as well as Lane Change Assist and Night Vision Assist, just to mention a few. 3. Tesla Model 3

Features such as self-parking technology and the in-car MMI system, makes the e-tron a spectacular car to drive. Impressively, the e-tron can achieve 0-62pmh in less than 6 seconds! Also, it's reported the e-tron provides a range of up to 249 miles for one full charge.
Prices for the E-tron start from £61,350 and for the ultimate E-tron experience, pricing is from around £89,450. Despite being Audi's first fully electric SUV, the E-tron is already proving popular and in particular, the Audi E-tron 55 Quattro received the What Car? Car of the Year 2020 award as the best large electric car (more than 70,000) currently on the market.
5. Mercedes-Benz EQC
This well-built, all-electric SUV has a charge range of up to 255 miles (WLTP). Also, it can reach 10-80% charge in 40 minutes using a rapid 110kW charger. In terms of the interior, the EQC has a premium finish and offers a smooth and comfortable drive. Features such as the MBUX multimedia system, smartphone integration and voice control are definitely highlights of this EV. Furthermore, the Mercedes EQC has a decent 500-litre boot capacity, which is plenty of space for the family weekly shop. In particular, we think the driver assistance systems on this car will appeal to many motorists. These include Active Speed Limit Assist, Evasive Steering Assist and Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC, just to mention a few.
