Exciting news! Tesla has confirmed a new supreme version of the Model S is expected to go into production late next year. With prices starting from £130,980, this elite EV is available to pre-order now. This is around £38,000 more expensive than the next priciest Model S so is it worth the hefty price tag? If you’re passionate about cars, this is a car not to be missed! It’s expected to be extremely powerful as it will be powered by three motors to produce about 1100bhp. Also, it's reported it will be able to achieve 0-60mph in under 2.0 seconds, with a top speed of 200mph! This will definitely have the wow factor!
Also, this exceptional EV boasts a 520-mile range, which will makes it the electric car with the longest range available from 2021. This is an amazing step up from the 379-mile range of the Tesla Model S. Like other Tesla models, we expect the Plaid to offer exceptional safety features as standard and a prestige interior.
Tesla has released a teaser video of the Model S Plaid which shows it lapping the Laguna Seca racetrack in 1min 30.3sec. Very impressive!
The main rival for this new EV is the Porsche Taycan, so how do they compare? Well, the longest range for the Taycan is 281-miles, which is considerably less miles than reported for the Model S Plaid. However, saying that, the Porsche Taycan is almost £50,000 cheaper than this new EV - definitely something worth considering.
