The All-New Award-Winning Kia e-Niro
Kia delivers again with the all-new Kia e-Niro, starting from £34,495 (After Plug in Car Grant). This delightful electric mid-size SUV combines phenomenal range, competitive pricing and excellent styling. Achieving 2019 What Car? Car of The Year Award, the e-Niro is proving to be strong competition for its rivals.
Performance & Range
Our excitement for this car continues when we look at the performance and range capacity available. It's a fantastic electric car which can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 7.5 seconds and has a top speed of 104 mph. Of course, these figures don't make the e-niro the fastest electric car on the market. However, the e-Niro stands out for its highly competitive pricing and its ability to provide up to 282 miles on a single charge. There’s no need to worry when the charge runs out as recharge is easy and fast. Below are some figures from Pod Point regarding the cost of charging a Kia e-Niro 64kWh.
Warranty, Design & Infotainment
As with all Kia models, the e-Niro is covered by a 7-year/100-mile manufacturer’s car warranty. Furthermore, this car is designed for an excellent driving experience. Features such as Lane Following Assist and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go makes the e-Niro an excellent EV to drive. In particular, we like the Electronic Parking Brake which is easy to use and convenient when parking your car. It's clear that safety has been well thought through with the e-Niro and this might especially appeal as an option for an electric family car. Also, it has a spacious feel to it and features a boot size of 451 litres.
In addition to all of the above, now is a great time to opt for an electric car. Due to Government incentives, the Kia e-Niro is eligible for the OLEV Plug-in Car and (EVHS) grants. As well, from April 2020 Benefit-in-Kind Tax (year 20/21) is 0% on electric company cars. Therefore, this means the e-Niro might be a great option as a company car. Alternatively, If you're looking for a greener form of transport but don't think a full electric car is right for you, then you could opt for a hybrid version. The Niro Plug-in Hybrid starting from £30,265 might be a suitable option for you. Kia even has a Niro Self Charging Hybrid car!
