Tesla Model 3
First we test drove the incredible I-Pace, now it's the turn of the Tesla Model 3! This coincides with the recent announcement of government plans to bring forward the ban on diesel and petrol cars to 2035. That said, at GB Vehicle Leasing, we have been eager to further enhance our knowledge on electric vehicles in order to adapt to the increasing demand for EVs. Read on to find out what we think of the Tesla Model 3.
Performance & Range
This is a luxury fully electric car, which has exceeded our expectations. It's easy to see why the Tesla Model 3 contributed almost a quarter million battery powered vehicles worldwide in 2018. (source: carsalesbase.com). This stunning motor can accelerate from 0-60 mph in as little as 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 162mph! Also, it can achieve up to 348 miles of range (WLTP) on a single charge. Below are some of the photos we have taken of the Tesla Model 3 demo. This beauty would definitely take pride of place on any road.
Interior & Infotainment
We think the Model 3 is phenomenal in every way and offers a prestige interior which is unlike any other car. We especially like the 15-inch touchscreen which can be used to access all driver controls. As well, safety has definitely been well thought through with the model 3 design, meaning you can enjoy a very safe journey in this motor. In particular, the Autopilot advanced safety and convenience features makes this EV highly appealing to many motorists. According to Tesla, "all new Tesla cars have the hardware needed in the future for full self-driving in almost all circumstances". This is all impressive but let's take a closer look at the exterior too.
Exterior Design
Wow, simply phenomenal! As you can see from the photos, it provides a sleek exterior as expected with all Tesla cars. Despite being the cheapest car in the Tesla model range, it still maintains a luxurious feel to it. If you're looking for a rapid electric saloon, then this car might be ideal for you. So with all this in mind, how does the Model 3 compare to its rivals in the electric car market?
Alternatively, you could opt for the Tesla Model S which can accelerate from 0-60 mph in as little as 2.4 seconds and offers a bigger boot size and touchscreen display than the Model 3. However, it does also come with a hefty price tag, which is around twice the price of the Tesla Model 3.
