Best Electric SUVs 2021
Electric SUVs are becoming ever more desirable as lease cars, especially for families. Many drivers like SUVs due to the higher driving position, practicality and spacious interior. Meanwhile, the electric experience is not only great for the environment, but it’s also great for your wallet too. Here we have picked a selection of our favourite electric SUVs to lease.
1. Kia e-Niro
The Kia e-Niro has quickly become one of the best-selling zero-emission cars on the market. The e-Niro stands out for its highly competitive pricing and its ability to provide up to 282 miles on a single charge. As for charging the e-Niro, this is quick and easy. It can be charged overnight using a 7kW home charger, while a motorway rapid charger will provide a healthy boost in the time it takes to buy a coffee and use the facilities. Performance wise, it’s reported the e-Niro can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 7.5 seconds and has a top speed of 104 mph. There are two battery sizes available: a 39kWh battery (134 bhp) or a 64kWh battery (201 bhp).
2. Skoda Enyaq iV
The Skoda Enyaq iV is a fully electric 5-door SUV offering a decent range and spacious interior. Skoda introduced this electric car to rival the new Volkswagen ID.4 as the surge in demand for electric cars continues. this electric car has a WLTP combined range of up to 333 miles, which is greater than the VW ID.4. Also, capable of 50kW rapid charging as standard, the Enyaq iV can reach 80% charge in 1 hour 10 minutes. Furthermore, the Skoda Enyaq iV has an array of tech and safety features available to enhance your driving experience. For a sportier version, you might want to look at lease deals for the Enyaq iV Sportline which has an electric range of up to 327 miles.
3. Audi e-Tron
The Audi e-tron is a fully electric 5-door SUV offering supreme comfort both in the front and rear space, as well as a generous 660-litres of boot space. This is considerably more boot space than rivals such as the Jaguar I-Pace and the prestigious Mercedes EQC. Despite being Audi's first fully electric SUV, the E-tron is already proving popular in the leasing market.
GB Vehicle Leasing think the design of the Audi E-tron is spectacular as it offers the high build quality and prestige look of a traditional Audi, whilst appealing to the increasing demand for electric cars. Features such as self-parking technology and the in-car MMI system, makes the e-tron a brilliant electric car to drive. Also, it's reported the Audi e-tron provides a range of up to 249 miles for one full charge.
4. Volkswagen ID.4
The new Volkswagen ID.4 is an all-electric SUV, with Volkswagen’s high-quality interior and packed with advanced technology. Compared to its ID.3 sibling, the VW ID.4, is bigger in size and much sleeker. This electric car joins Volkswagen’s model line-up as the second ID model. In terms of range, the VW ID.4 is capable of up to 310 miles on one full charge (WLTP). While this is less miles than the Ford Mustang Mach-E, it’s also much greater than the new Mercedes EQA and Kia e-Niro. As for the design, we think the ID.4 is trendy, as well as practical. Plus, the large boot space is a real bonus.
5. Jaguar I-Pace
Since its launch in 2018, this all-electric performance SUV has been excelling in its segment, receiving various awards worldwide. One full charge of the Jaguar I-Pace provides an impressive range up to 292 miles on the WLTP cycle. Also, the I-Pace can reach 0-80% charge using public rapid charging (100kW charger) in just 45 minutes. The only drawback we can really think of with the I-Pace is the hefty price tag, although leasing is a cost-effective alternative to buying a new car. In terms of the interior space, the I-pace provides five full seats, innovative storage, a substantial rear loadspace of up to 656 litres. It has the luxurious feel of a Jaguar car, an excellent charging range and amazing in-car technologies.
