The McLaren P1 is a stunning limited-production plug-in-hybrid. Its impressive performance, luxury design and immense power made this a highly desirable hypercar for many car enthusiasts. The P1 has a top speed of 217mph and can achieve 0-62mph in just 2.8 seconds!

2.Jaguar E-Type

Price when new: £1,934
Top speed: 150mph
We think the spectacular E-Type was one of the best, if not the best, car to be displayed at the 1961 Geneva Motor Show. Its top speed was very impressive because at a time most cars would struggle to top 60mph. It was and still is today, a highly desirable car to own.

This superb car became the majority of Englishman’s favourite car after featuring in many of the James Bond films. We think it’s one of the most beautiful and classy cars to ever be made. However, production only lasted two years before the new DB6 arrived which was visually similar.

4.Nissan Qashqai

This is one of Nissan's best selling models and production reached 1,000,000 in only four years making it the fastest UK car to do this. It's a superb crossover which was styled, engineered and built in Britain. Excellent price for a stylish yet low running costs car. We feel it deserves to be in our list due to the success and popularity since production began.

5.MINI

This iconic British car brought affordable motoring for a vast number of motorists. Although it was a small car, every inch of space was utilised well. Throughout its years, the original MINI became highly desirable and impressed large numbers of car enthusiasts.

6.McLaren F1
Years of manufacture: 1992-1998
Price when new: £540,000
Top speed: 240mph
The F1 weighed only 1,138kg and had a top speed of 240mph making it a fantastic low weight and powerful car. Many car enthusiasts were fascinated by this car, however only 106 were produced and the price meant it was too expensive for the majority of drivers.

7.Morris Minor

The Morris Minor was the first British car to sell a million examples. It was affordable and therefore appealed to many drivers. We really like the design of this Morris and can understand why it's a popular classic car nowadays.

8.Jensen Interceptor FF

Price when new: £5,249
Top speed: 140mph
We feel this car deserves to be in our list as it was the first performance car with four-wheel drive and anti-lock brakes. It was a great car and had a lot of high technology. However, this car was right-hand-drive-only and therefore this ruled out export sales.
